Turnover tax, worked out for you
Aruba charges 7% on turnover — BBO 2.5%, BAVP 1.5% and BAZV 3%. Add it to a price, or pull it back out of one that already includes it.
Turnover tax calculator
Since 2019 most Aruban invoices show one gross price with the tax already inside.

First consultation, no obligation
Most of our clients did not come to us because they love accounting. They came because a deadline was close, a letter arrived, or the shoebox got too full. That is a normal place to start.

Questions
Things business owners ask us
How much turnover tax do I pay in Aruba?
7% in total on your turnover — BBO 2.5%, BAVP 1.5% and BAZV 3%. It is charged on what you sell, not on your profit, and there is no input deduction the way VAT works elsewhere. Our calculator above splits it for you.
When is it due?
The monthly return is filed and paid by the 15th of the following month. Turnover counts when you actually receive payment, not when you send the invoice. The counter above shows how long you have.
My bookkeeping is behind. Is that a problem?
No — it is most of what we do. Bring what you have, however messy. We will tell you what it takes to bring you current and what it will cost before you commit to anything.
Do I have to charge BBO on my invoices?
Since 2019 the tax is generally not shown as a separate line — you quote one gross price and the tax sits inside it. That is exactly what the "It's included" mode of the calculator is for.
What do I need to bring to the first meeting?
Whatever exists: bank statements, invoices, your Chamber of Commerce registration, last filings if you have them. If you are just starting, bring the idea. The first consultation is free.
Can you talk to me in Papiamento?
Yes — Papiamento, English, Spanish and Dutch. Your paperwork can be handled in whichever language you are comfortable with.
